Welcome to the Ulmstead Estates website

One of the more prestigious communities in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, and also one of the most fun!!! This community of approximately 359 homes is situated just north of Annapolis on a peninsula jutting into one of the most picturesque parts of the Magothy River. Picnicking at "The Point", the beach for Ulmstead residents, you can watch the ships go up the Chesapeake Bay, view Dobbins and Gibson Islands, enjoy magnificent sunsets over the water while your children are swinging and teens playing volleyball. For the boaters there are two marinas with 110 slips and a boat launching ramp, tennis enthusiasts can choose from 4 lighted courts, the barn has stable facilities for 12 horses and an upstairs community center, and the swimming pool fields a winning team. For adults there are numerous community parties (Halloween, New Years Eve, 4th of July, etc.; tennis leagues for the beginner to advanced player, and civic functions. For younger members there are Christmas, Halloween, Easter parties, beach camp, girl and boy scouts, weekly children' play groups and other events. We are pleased to have our children attend the excellent local public and private schools, and have access to GARCI sports. We feel that Ulmstead is an ideal community in which your family can grow.

You can become a participant in Ulmstead's activities by joining UCI (Ulmstead Club, Inc.). UCI is a non-profit organization whose dues are currently $200 a year with a $130 initiation fee. The dues covers the cost of running the community and allows you the privilege of using Ulmstead's beach, attending the community functions, a monthly community newsletter (Weathervane), an annaul Membership Directory, and signing up for the community's amenities.

There are 2 sheltered deep-water marinas. Dock One has 20 slips and Dock Two 90. There is a 'bubbler' system at Dock One allowing boats to remain in the water over the winter. Cost for a slip depends upon water depth and location and runs between $100 and $600 a year.

The pool has birthed many a championship team. During the first part of the summer there is swim team practice every day, as well as instruction available for beginner swimmers.

The tennis department is very active with a ladies singles and doubles ladder, and a children's tennis team. Instructions are available for both adults, teens and children. There are 4 courts, lit until 11:00 P.M.

There are 12 stables available in the barn, which includes a riding and jumping ring. Members actively participate in the many local equestrian events.

Nearby can be found Bay Hills golf course, College Parkway Shopping Center, Anne Arundel Community College, the Naval Academy, Historic Annapolis, and several regional Shopping Malls.
